I’m fickle, I’m curious, and I like to try new things. This means I sometimes pick up a hobby only to put it down again and move on to something else. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, because before I die I’d like to have tried just about everything that would ever have interested me.
While I do this in sufficient quantities sometimes, I think chronicling the efforts will do two things: One, get me blogging again, which is sorely missed. Two, keep me motivated and continually doing the new things tantalizing me from the back of my mind. There are lazy times, and in my corner of the world lazy times come more often than they should. I feel myself slipping into comfortable monotony and settling for familiar, easy Netflix night and cuddling. Knowing that I haven’t posted a new event for a week will be equivalent to a chubby finger jabbing me in the side and a voice saying “Get going, get out there, and get enjoyment!”
I have some back-chronicling to do. I get into this phase of “Go try that thing you want to try” every few months and have done so for years. So, I need to fill in some holes and chronicle past success.
